  • Dog loves it

My overly energetic 1y/o golden loves it. I inflated a bit more than it said so the cover fits tighter. Otherwise my dog would try to chew. It's held up great.

Well worth the money I spent on this for our dog! Keeps him entertained in the back yard when we can’t, definitely helps release some of that energy 😂

  • What a neat idea!

This is a unique toy idea and really nice! My dogs find it interesting and fun to play with too! It takes them awhile to undo the knot and find the yummies inside!

  • Happy Boy!!!!

Can’t even explain how much my boy loves this!!! He was supervised the whole time and corrected for biting but no rips or tears or damage from a 90 lb lab and all his friends for an hour of play time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my herding ball cover feel loose after inflating?

This is a very common question, and usually, the ball and cover are the right size.

When you start blowing up the ball, it might look small and the cover might feel loose. That’s okay! The ball needs more air before it stretches the cover and fills it up properly.

Think of it like blowing up a balloon. Just because it looks round doesn’t mean it’s full. You need to keep blowing air in until it feels firm and hard with no loose wrinkles of the cover. Bigger balls take more air and might feel harder to pump, that’s normal. Just keep going but make sure not to over inflate! Stop when there is no more wrinkles!

The ball is made to be safe for your dog to push around and play with. When it’s fully pumped up, it will roll well and be lots of fun.

To make it easier, you can use an electric pump or go to a gas station to fill it faster. But be careful not to put too much air in about the pressure of 2 to 3 PSI is perfect.

Also, when you zip the cover, try zipping it halfway before the ball is all the way full, then finish zipping after you finish pumping. This helps the zipper stay strong.

If you still think the cover is too loose after pumping it fully, please send us a photo. We will happily help you check it.

Our herding balls for dogs are made to be strong, safe, and fun. With the right amount of air, your dog will have a great time!

Is the herding ball safe for my dog to play with?

Yes! Our herding balls are made from durable, non-toxic materials designed to be safe for dogs to push, chase, and herd. The tough cover and sturdy inner ball ensure your dog can enjoy hours of active play without worry.

How do I know if I have the right size herding ball and cover?

Each herding ball and cover are carefully sized and color-coded for different dog breeds. If the cover still feels loose after fully inflating your herding ball for dogs, it might be the wrong size or not fully inflated yet. Continue to inflate firmly and check again. If it remains loose, send photos and your order info so we can assist.

Can I use a regular air pump or compressor to inflate the herding ball?

Yes, using an electric air pump, air compressor, or gas station air pump is highly recommended to quickly and easily inflate your herding ball. Manual pumps may work but can be slower.

Can I overinflate the herding ball? What is the correct pressure?

Overinflating your dog herding ball can cause damage. We recommend inflating to about 2 to 3 PSI. This pressure ensures the ball is firm enough to hold its shape and safe for your dog to play with.
