Herding Ball Herding Ball Covers Pet Enrichment Equipment

Important — please read before purchase By completing a purchase from Race&Herd, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy in full. This policy forms part of your purchase contract. Always include your order ID & Product Images in any correspondence with us.
1

Product nature — enrichment equipment, not safety devices

Race&Herd herding balls, outer covers, and pet enrichment products are designed for recreational supervised use only. They are not safety restraint devices, veterinary equipment, or indestructibility guarantees.

By purchasing you acknowledge that:

  • All products are intended for supervised play only. The owner must be present whenever a pet interacts with the product.
  • Product lifespan varies significantly based on the individual animal's size, breed, bite strength, play style, and environmental conditions.
  • Covers and inflatable bladders are consumable components subject to normal wear and tear — they are not covered under any warranty once in use.
  • Race&Herd does not warrant that any product will withstand any specific level of force, bite pressure, or duration of use.
  • Race&Herd is not responsible for training outcomes or an animal's level of interest in the product.
2

Limited manufacturer's warranty

2.1 What this warranty covers

Race&Herd provides a limited warranty covering confirmed manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship only, on products that have never been used by any animal. A manufacturing defect means a flaw that exists at the time of delivery caused by our production process — not by the animal, the owner, or the environment.

Examples of covered defects:

  • Seam failure on an unused, uninflated cover upon first inspection.
  • A bladder that will not hold air when first inflated per instructions, before any animal contact.
  • Structural failure of a component during correct initial setup before any animal interaction.

2.2 What this warranty does not cover

✖ No warranty on used products

Once a product has been used — meaning any animal has interacted with it in any way — wear, damage, puncture, tearing, or failure of any kind is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered under this warranty. This applies to all components including outer covers, bladders, handles, and valves.

The following are expressly excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Damage, tearing, puncturing, or failure caused by animal chewing, biting, clawing, pawing, or any other animal interaction.
  • Wear and tear from normal or prolonged use, regardless of how quickly it occurs.
  • Damage to outer covers after any use, even minimal use.
  • Bladder failure after the product has been used by any animal.
  • Overinflation, underinflation, inflation beyond recommended firmness, or use of an incompatible pump.
  • Zipper failure caused by forcing, closing under tension, dirt contamination, or use of tools such as pliers.
  • Cover separation resulting from inflating beyond recommended firmness.
  • Damage from extreme temperatures, UV light, water, chemicals, or outdoor storage.
  • Products modified or repaired by anyone other than Race&Herd.
  • Replacement covers or spare parts purchased separately — these are consumable items sold with no warranty, all sales final.
  • Products used in commercial, professional, kennel, or revenue-generating settings.
  • Cosmetic variations such as panel ripple, stitching lines, surface texture, or minor shape variation when inflated.

2.3 Covers are consumable items — not defective products

Outer covers for Race&Herd herding balls are consumable accessories, comparable to a rope toy or chew toy. They are designed to absorb direct animal contact in place of the inner bladder. A cover that is ripped, torn, or chewed through by an animal has performed its intended function. This is not a product defect.

"I purchased a 25" herding ball with cover in March. After my dog ripped the outer cover I replaced it. Now he's ripped the replacement cover and popped the inner ball. Can I get a warranty replacement?"
No. Ripped covers are an expected result of animal use — they are consumable items, not defective products. A cover destroyed by a dog has fulfilled its function. An inner bladder that is punctured or deflated after animal contact is likewise not a manufacturing defect. Race&Herd does not provide warranty replacements for any product that has been used by an animal, regardless of how quickly the damage occurred. Replacement covers are available for purchase on our website.

2.4 Warranty claim procedure

ⓘ Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery

Warranty claims are only considered for unused products inspected before any animal interaction. Always include your order ID in your email.

1

Email neigh@raceandherd.co with your order ID, a written description of the alleged defect, and clear photographs of the product showing the issue.

2

Wait for our response within 1–5 business days. We may request the product be returned for inspection.

3

Race&Herd's determination of whether a defect qualifies as a manufacturing defect is final.

4

If a defect is confirmed, we will repair, replace, or issue store credit at our sole discretion. Cash refunds for warranty claims are not automatic.

3

No-refund policy & store credit

✖ All sales are final — Race&Herd does not issue monetary refunds

Race&Herd operates a strict no-refund policy. Monetary refunds — whether to the original payment method, by bank transfer, or by any other means — are not issued under any circumstances, including change of mind, dissatisfaction with product performance, animal damage, or incorrect ordering by the customer.

In the limited circumstances where a return is approved (see Section 5), Race&Herd may, at its sole discretion, offer one of the following remedies:

  • Product replacement — an equivalent replacement item dispatched to the original delivery address on file.
  • Store credit — a credit note applied to your Race&Herd account for use against a future purchase.

The remedy offered is determined solely by Race&Herd following inspection and verification of the returned item. The customer does not have the right to select a preferred remedy. No monetary compensation will be issued in lieu of either option.

By completing a purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

4

Order changes, cancellations & address corrections

4.1 Order cancellations

Once an order has been placed and payment confirmed, it enters our fulfilment process immediately. Cancellations are only possible if the order has not yet been dispatched. Race&Herd cannot guarantee that a cancellation request will be actioned in time, and we are under no obligation to cancel an order that is already in processing or has been handed to a shipping carrier.

If a cancellation is approved before dispatch, a store credit will be issued to the value of the order. Monetary refunds are not issued for cancelled orders.

4.2 Delivery address changes

⚠ Address changes must be requested immediately

Race&Herd is unable to redirect parcels once they have been dispatched and handed to the shipping carrier. If you need to change your delivery address, you must contact us immediately after placing your order — ideally within 1 hour of purchase.

To request a delivery address change:

1

Email neigh@raceandherd.co immediately with your order ID and the correct delivery address. Use the subject line: Address Change Request — Order [your order ID].

2

We will confirm by email whether the address change can be applied before dispatch. If confirmed, your order will be updated and sent to the new address.

3

If the order has already been dispatched, we are unable to redirect it. In this case, the customer accepts full responsibility for any failed delivery, returned parcel, or re-delivery costs.

Race&Herd is not liable for failed deliveries, lost parcels, or return-to-sender outcomes resulting from an incorrect address provided at checkout. No replacement or store credit will be issued for orders delivered to an address entered incorrectly by the customer at the time of purchase.

4.3 Returned-to-sender parcels

If a parcel is returned to us by the carrier due to an incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or the customer's failure to collect, Race&Herd will contact the customer by email. The customer will be offered re-dispatch at their own cost. If no response is received within 14 days, the parcel may be disposed of and no replacement or credit will be issued.

5

Returns — incorrect or defective shipments only

5.1 When a return may be accepted

Race&Herd accepts return requests only in the following strictly limited circumstances:

  • A confirmed manufacturing defect on an unused, uncontacted product reported within 7 days of delivery (see Section 2).
  • An incorrect item dispatched by Race&Herd (wrong product, size, or colour), reported within 7 days of delivery.

In all other circumstances, all sales are final and returns will not be accepted. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Products that have been used by any animal in any way.
  • Change of mind after delivery.
  • Dissatisfaction with product performance, size, or appearance.
  • Damage caused by improper inflation, zipper mishandling, or failure to follow instructions.
  • Products not in original, unused, resaleable condition with all original packaging intact.
  • Products returned without prior written approval (Return Merchandise Authorization — RMA).
  • Replacement covers or spare parts — all sales final, no exceptions.

5.2 Return procedure

⚠ Do not send items without an approved RMA

Do not return any product without first obtaining a Return Merchandise Authorization from us. Items sent without an RMA will not be accepted. The return shipping address will be provided on the label we issue — do not ship to our registered address.

1

Email neigh@raceandherd.co with your order ID, reason for return, and clear supporting photographs within 7 days of delivery.

2

Wait for written RMA confirmation. Do not ship anything until you receive this approval.

3

Use only the return label provided by Race&Herd. The return address is printed on this label — we do not accept returns sent to any other address.

4

Before shipping, photograph the product and its original packaging clearly showing the item is in new, unused condition.

5

Email us the return tracking number immediately after shipping.

6

Upon receipt and verification, the applicable remedy (replacement or store credit) will be arranged within 7–14 business days. No monetary refund will be issued.

5.3 Fraud prevention and return abuse

Race&Herd reserves the right to deny any return request where:

  • The product shows signs of animal use, post-delivery damage, or modification.
  • Packaging, components, or accessories are missing.
  • Multiple return requests from the same customer suggest pattern abuse.
  • The product has been tampered with or structurally altered.

Inspection findings are final and binding.

6

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable United States law, Race&Herd shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages of any kind.
  • Pet injury, illness, or death arising from use, misuse, or unsupervised use of any product.
  • Property damage caused by pet interaction with or destruction of the product.
  • Dissatisfaction with product performance, durability, or an animal's level of interest.
  • Loss of product usability due to animal damage or owner handling.
  • Training outcomes or behavioral results.

The maximum aggregate liability of Race&Herd for any claim shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

7

Supervision and safe use responsibility

Race&Herd products must be used under continuous, active supervision by a responsible adult. The customer accepts full responsibility for:

  • Supervising all animal interactions with the product at all times.
  • Inspecting the product before each use and removing it from service if any wear, damage, or degradation is observed.
  • Following all inflation, setup, and usage instructions provided with the product.
  • Selecting the appropriate product size and specification for their specific animal.

Race&Herd is not responsible for any accident, injury, or property damage resulting from unsupervised use or failure to follow product guidelines.

8

Normal product characteristics (not defects)

The following characteristics are inherent to multi-panel inflatable pet products and are not manufacturing defects:

  • Minor shape variation or asymmetry when inflated.
  • Panel ripple or surface wave appearance.
  • Measurement variation within reasonable industry tolerance.
  • Material stiffness or flexibility changes caused by temperature.
  • Visible stitching lines or assembly pattern marks.
  • Slight colour variation between product batches.
9

Payment disputes and chargebacks

Customers must contact Race&Herd and allow our full response period (up to 5 business days) before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback with their bank or payment provider.

If a chargeback is filed without prior written communication, Race&Herd reserves the right to:

  • Submit all transaction records, communication history, policy acknowledgments, and delivery confirmation to the payment processor to contest the dispute.
  • Decline future service or purchase access to the extent permitted by law.
  • Recover reasonable dispute-handling costs where permitted by applicable law.
✖ Used products are not eligible for chargebacks

Filing a chargeback for a product that has been used by an animal does not entitle the customer to a store credit or replacement. Such claims will be contested with full transaction evidence, photographic records, and policy acceptance documentation.

10

  • Commercial coercion: Threatening to post, or posting, negative reviews, social media content, or public commentary with the express or implied purpose of obtaining a replacement, store credit, or other commercial benefit to which the customer is not otherwise entitled is considered unlawful commercial coercion and/or tortious interference in certain jurisdictions.

  • Reputational harm for commercial gain: Any deliberate act intended to damage the reputation of Race&Herd as leverage to obtain a commercial benefit — including threatening negative publicity unless a replacement or store credit is issued — will be treated as attempted extortion under applicable law.

Where any of the above conduct is identified, Race&Herd reserves the right to:

  • Permanently add the individual to our internal restricted-customer register, resulting in refusal of all future service and purchase access.
  • Preserve and document all relevant communications, public posts, and transaction records.
